Vinnytsia region detains TCC employee for bribery

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine have arrested a 52-year-old employee of the district territorial center for recruitment and social support in Vinnytsia region. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Vinnytsia region.

According to the National Police, the head of one of the departments was offering conscripts the opportunity to "buy" partially filled draft notice forms from him, which they could then present to representatives of the recruitment center as genuine. In this way, conscripts could evade mobilization.

The 52-year-old perpetrator was arrested after a meeting with a buyer. He sold 68 signed and stamped draft notice forms for two thousand US dollars.

The military enlistment office employee has been charged with a crime under Article 368, Part 3 (Acceptance of an offer, promise, or receipt of an unlawful benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, as well as property confiscation.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing as part of an open criminal case.
