Reznikov met with the Minister of Defense of Bulgaria in Odesa

On August 21st, a briefing was held in Odessa with the participation of Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikov, and Bulgaria's Minister of Defense, Todor Tagarev. This was reported by the "Mediacenter Ukraine - Odessa."

Oleksiy Reznikov announced that Bulgaria has joined the European Union's program for supplying Ukraine with 155mm artillery ammunition.

"The important decision of the Bulgarian government is that they have joined the EU program for supplying Ukraine with 155mm artillery ammunition. Our common interest involves at least four countries: Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, and Turkey, concerning the security of the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov. Because this is a question of our joint future. This is a question of freedom of navigation," said Oleksiy Reznikov.

Todor Tagarev stated that Bulgaria, following Ukraine's victory in this war, will join security guarantees together with the G7 countries.

"We stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine and assist it in repelling this illegal Russian aggression. We fully support Ukraine's right to restore its internationally recognized territories. As part of these commitments, we have decided to join the joint declaration of the G7 countries to ensure Ukraine's stability," said Todor Tagarev.

Furthermore, Bulgaria's Minister of Defense announced that his country will provide Ukraine with approximately 100 Soviet-era armored vehicles. This decision is expected to be approved by the Bulgarian parliament in the fall.
