The State Bureau of Investigations is investigating the legality of the use of service weapons by law enforcement in Dnipro.
The incident resulted in the death of an individual. Preliminary information suggests that the law enforcement officers were attempting to stop a luxury car in the city center of Dnipro, whose driver, according to available data, was disregarding traffic rules.
After stopping the vehicle, the man exhibited aggressive behavior and showed signs of alcohol intoxication. During the incident, a law enforcement officer used his service weapon.
The driver of the vehicle succumbed to gunshot wounds.
A criminal investigation has been initiated under Article 115 Part 1 and Article 365 Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. All circumstances of the incident are being examined.
The issue of detaining the law enforcement officer and informing him of the suspicion is being addressed.
Additionally, in Odessa, a local resident who was a member of the Russian-affiliated group 'Ghost' and fought on the side of militants in 2014 was detained.
He actively participated in provocations in Odessa during the mass unrest in May 2014, which favored Russia.
To evade responsibility for his crimes, he fled to the temporarily occupied part of the Luhansk region, where he joined the ranks of the militants.
