A mobile gynecological team operates in Vinnytsia region with UN financial support

On Vinnytsia region, a mobile gynecological brigade is working. Doctors travel to the most remote communities in the region, where they provide free gynecological examinations. This information is reported by the Department of Health and Rehabilitation of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration.

During the reception, residents of the region are offered the following services:

Medical examination by a gynecologist and a family doctor;
Ultrasound examination (UZD);
Electrocardiogram;
Consultation on women's health, including during and after childbirth, maternal health, and child care;
Consultation on HIV infection and sexually transmitted diseases;
Medical and psychological support for victims of domestic violence or other forms of violence related to the war.
Inna Kukuruza, the head of the Vinnytsia Regional Perinatal Center at the Pirogov Regional Hospital, mentioned that the brigade started working in December 2022. Since then, doctors have examined about five hundred patients. Women who require additional consultations and examinations are referred to specialists in other medical facilities.

Inna Kukuruza emphasizes that despite the war, residents of the region should have access to medical services. Information about the work of doctors in different areas of the region can be obtained by calling 3033. You can call daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The project of the mobile gynecological brigade is implemented jointly by specialists from the regional Pirogov Perinatal Center with financial support from the UN Population Fund. Coordination is carried out by the charitable foundation "Institute for Family and Child Development."
