In Vinnytsia, they are developing a single system for remote opening of shelters during air raid alarms. This was announced by the Mayor of Vinnytsia, Serhiy Morgunov.
"Access to shelters is an issue that needs to be addressed immediately. It is essential to eliminate the human factor as much as possible. I have given instructions to develop a single municipal system for remote opening of shelter locks during alarms. Ensuring the proper condition of shelters and access to them for everyone is the responsibility of the facility managers," stated the city's leader.
It's worth noting that on June 3 and 4, 60 working groups, consisting of police officers, Emergency Services personnel, and municipal guards, inspected shelters in Vinnytsia. This decision was made during a meeting of the municipal commission on technogenic and ecological safety and emergencies.
As a reminder, a large-scale check of shelters for accessibility is currently underway in Ukraine. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, issued this directive after three people, including two children, died during the Russian night attack on Kyiv on June 1. They couldn't access the bomb shelter because it was locked.
