In the city of Oleksandriya in Kirovohrad Oblast, they are ready to accommodate up to 300 people from the flooded areas of Kherson. These individuals can be housed in places designated for compact settlement of displaced persons, such as the city's kindergartens. This information was provided by Olena Nazarenko, the head of the Social Welfare Department of the city council. They have also set up an aid headquarters with the following phone numbers: (093) 267-79-94 or (096) 293-54-22.

In Oleksandriya, they have also promised to take care of the animals from the flood zone. Representatives of the local community organization "Zoohelp" require volunteers' assistance in building enclosures for the animals.

"We cooperate with the all-Ukrainian organization 'Zoopatrol.' They rescue animals in need from conflict areas and distribute them to organizations similar to Oleksandriya's 'Zoohelp.' Today, they were supposed to receive 25 cats from Bakhmut, and volunteers went to the Kherson Oblast. We don't know how many and which animals they can bring yet," says Aliona Kotova, a representative of Oleksandriya's community organization "Zoohelp."

To care for stray animals, they purchased an abandoned house in Oleksandriya. Currently, it has no available space, so they plan to build enclosures in the yard, having already purchased the necessary materials.

The organization needs assistance with construction and invites all willing individuals to participate. The construction will take place daily after 14:00. For more details, you can contact them at the following phone numbers: (050) 540-44-27 and (095) 843-24-76.

As a reminder, on June 6, Russian forces from within the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station in Kherson Oblast blew up its structures. This has resulted in the flooding of around 80 settlements, including the city of Kherson. Authorities and volunteers are conducting evacuations from the affected areas.
