On August 31st, the Russian occupying army shelled the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak. The Russians launched heavy artillery strikes on the city of Nikopol.
The shelling resulted in damage to four private houses, an outbuilding, two power transmission lines, and a gas pipeline. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported.
This is not the first time on that day that the Russian army shelled the Dnipropetrovsk region. During the night of August 23rd, the occupiers attacked the Velykomykhailivska community in the Synelnykivskyi district. The shelling damaged two houses and a power transmission line, with the extent of the damage still being assessed.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, the enemy launched 31 missile and 66 aviation strikes, as well as 53 artillery strikes from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian settlements. Unfortunately, there have been casualties among the civilian population due to Russian terrorist attacks. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have also been damaged.
Furthermore, the Russian Federation conducted another missile and aerial strike on Ukrainian territory, using air-launched missiles and Iranian combat drones "Shahed-136/131.
