Currently, in Ukraine, they are thoroughly reviewing the work of medical-military commissions that provided fake certificates to draft dodgers. However, the verification process may take quite a long time.
This was reported on the telethon by David Arakhamia, a member of parliament from the 'Servant of the People' party.
As the MP pointed out, both the official and the person who bribed them are legally responsible. Therefore, law enforcement agencies have a lot of work to do in this context, including processing everything according to the Criminal Procedure Code, providing evidence, and filing charges.
- What will happen to those who did this? They will be held accountable according to the laws for bribery, document forgery, and evasion of mobilization, explained the MP.
Another question is how to hold accountable those who have already left the country. Currently, law enforcement agencies cannot reach them, but Ukraine has significantly strengthened its international legal assistance efforts.
- So, in practically any country in the world (except for Russia, perhaps), our law enforcement agencies can come and request the extradition of such individuals and bring them to Ukraine to face the appropriate responsibility, Arakhamia concluded.
