In the Poltava region, 100% of shelters in schools are now equipped with internet access. This information was provided by Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.

Employees of the education sector and law enforcement agencies in the region have been supplied with Wi-Fi routers and switches.

"100% of school shelters in Poltava region are now equipped with internet access. Today, routers were provided to an additional 366 institutions in 54 communities. These devices will allow us to cover all shelters with an internet network in general education institutions. The routers were received as part of cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Nokia, with the support of the NGO 'Kolischata' and the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce," stated Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.

The post also mentions that with the support of partners, 14 switches have been provided to law enforcement agencies in Poltava. These switches will be used to modernize surveillance systems in seven units of the National Police within the territorial communities of the region.

Ihor Panchenko, the Deputy Head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, shared that last year, thanks to an integrated video surveillance and video analytics system, the region managed to solve 3,400 serious and especially serious crimes.

Earlier, we reported that a football tournament in memory of Hero of Ukraine Andriy Konoplyov was held in Poltava. Andriy Konoplyov was born on April 29, 1977. He was mobilized on August 7, 2014, and he lost his life on January 23, 2015. Illegal armed groups in Donetsk carried out an attack on his platoon's strongpoint, using small arms, tanks, and artillery. Senior Sergeant Konoplyov, warning his command and making several accurate shots, destroyed one of the enemy tanks. He then disabled another. Thanks to Andriy's action, who sacrificed his life, the enemy's advance was repelled, and the positions were held. In 2018, Andriy Konoplyov was posthumously awarded the title of "Hero of Ukraine."
