In Poltava region 44 communities allocated co-financing for local road repairs

In Poltava Oblast, this year, they plan to receive approximately UAH 950 million from the State Road Fund, which will be directed towards repairing local roads. Nearly UAH 757 million of this amount will be allocated for the average, current, and capital repairs of local roads. These roads include Mirgorod - Velyka Bahachka - Bayrak - Podil, Mala Rublivka - Runivschyna - M-03, Bilopillia - Terni - Lypova Dolyna - Hadiach, and Mostovivshchyna - Velyki Krynky - Hlobyne. Additionally, five bridges on the Chornukhy - Lubny highway are also planned to be renovated. Acting Director of the State Enterprise "Poltava Oblast Local Roads Agency" Mykhailo Surzhko made this announcement during a meeting of the regional council's standing committee. This information is reported on the Poltava Regional Military Administration's website.

"To increase the volume of repair work and ensure the passage of critical sections, we are collaborating effectively with communities. We propose to engage in co-financing with the agency on a 50*50% basis. Some communities are allocating more funds. Forty-four territorial communities have already transferred nearly UAH 163 million," said Mykhailo Surzhko.

Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, suggested repairing state roads that pass through communities on the terms of co-financing. He proposed a scheme in which 50% of the amount would be allocated by the state budget, 25% from the regional budget, and 25% from the local community's budget. This principle is already being used to restore the state road M-03 Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhansky, which passes through Poltava. However, the city did not fulfill its obligations, and the regional budget financed the other 50% of the amount.

Earlier, it was reported that a relocated enterprise from Kharkiv region has been operating in Poltava Oblast for almost a year.
