In Vinnytsia, the Pirogov Regional Hospital in was equipped with the largest shelter in the region (PHOTOS)

In Vinnytsia region, the largest shelter has been arranged at the Regional Hospital named after Mykola Pirogov. This week, the Chief of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Borzov, and the Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Council, Vyacheslav Sokolovyi, visited the renovated facility, for which the regional budget allocated 3.4 million hryvnias. Prior to the renovations, this shelter had been unused and was in a dilapidated state. This information was reported on the Vinnytsia Regional Administration's website.

During the repair works, a ventilation system was installed, water supply and drainage systems were established, the roof was repaired, windows and doors were replaced and repaired, and the walls were finished.

The shelter is now equipped with all the necessary facilities. In the central hall, there are beds for patients, seating areas, essential medical furniture, and sanitary facilities. Importantly, it has a small operating room and a dressing room for emergency cases.

The total area of the shelter is over 530 square meters, and it can accommodate approximately 500 people if needed. The facility is stocked with medicine, drinking water, and technical supplies, as well as necessary firefighting equipment.

Previously, we reported that a medical college in Vinnytsia region is training emergency medical technician assistants. At the Mohyliv-Podilskyi Medical College, they have started training assistant emergency medical technicians. In Ukraine, only three institutions are currently providing training for such specialists.
