Vinnytsia resident Serhiy Zhuk was awarded the Order of "For Bravery" of the III degree. This was announced by the Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Borzov.
The state award was personally presented to the 26-year-old soldier by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, during his working visit to Donetsk.
Currently, Serhiy Zhuk is defending our country on the eastern front as part of a separate assault brigade formed by veterans of "Azov."
This is his second honor; earlier, Serhiy Zhuk was awarded the "Golden Cross."
"I sincerely congratulate you on receiving this honorary award! Thank you for your bravery, loyalty, and patriotism! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!" emphasized the head of the region.
It should be noted that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded state honors to 130 servicemen, including 71 posthumously.
The relevant decree, No. 490/2023, has been published on the official website of the head of state.
As stated in the document, the awards were conferred "for personal bravery demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless performance of military duty."
