Man who raped a child is sentenced to 15 years in Odesa region

A resident of the Odessa region was found guilty of raping a minor and committing thefts due to the public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Bilyayivska district prosecutor's office. This was reported by the press service of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The rapist was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Prosecutors proved in court that at the end of May 2021, in one of the villages of the Odessa region, the man began to pursue an eight-year-old girl as she was riding her bike home from the dentist. The criminal grabbed the girl's hand and dragged her into a semi-ruined house. Despite tears, resistance, and the child's pleas to let her go, he raped her. Moreover, the convicted man ordered the girl not to tell anyone about his unlawful actions.

In addition to the rape, shortly before the assault, the man robbed six houses of his fellow villagers.
