A 10-year-old boy dies in a landslide in Odesa region

In the morning, in the village of Fontanka-2 in the Odessa region, there was a landslide that buried a 10-year-old child. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region.

It was determined that the boy passed away before the arrival of emergency medical help and rescuers. The police also learned that the child came to the beach with his mother, older brother, aunt, and cousin.

The family was resting on the shore when the ground landslide occurred. As a result, the 10-year-old boy sustained injuries incompatible with life.

Previously, the family of the deceased had not come to the attention of the police and social services.

In connection with this incident, law enforcement agencies have initiated a criminal case under Article 115, Part 2, with the mark "accident with a minor," and Article 166 (willful neglect of duties in caring for a child or a person under guardianship) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
