Sounds of explosions were heard in Cherkasy region during air raid alert

On May 3rd, during an air raid alarm in Cherkasy region, local residents could hear sounds of explosions. As reported by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Igor Taburets, air defense forces were active in the region.

According to the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 21 enemy attack drones of the 'Shahed-136/131' type were destroyed. For the Cherkasy region, this alert passed without consequences. The air defense successfully practiced against aerial targets, which is why there were sounds heard in some areas. We thank our sky defenders for their protection!" - said Igor Taburets.

Explosions were also heard in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In the night of May 3rd, the Russian occupation forces struck with an Iranian combat drone 'Shahed-136' on an administrative building in Dnipro. A fire broke out at the scene, but it was successfully extinguished. Fortunately, there were no casualties among the people.

Additionally, the Air Command 'East' reported that Ukrainian air defense forces had destroyed 11 Iranian kamikaze drones of the 'Shahed-136/131' type. Seven of them were shot down over the Dnipropetrovsk region, and others over the Zaporizhia region.
