On May 11, Izmail will bid farewell to a soldier, a forty-year-old resident of the city and native of the village of Holitsya in Vasilivka community of the Bolhrad district, Hryhoriy Mikhov, who heroically died on May 6 in Donetsk while defending Ukraine from the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Bolhrad district military administration.
Hryhoriy was born in the village of Holitsya on May 17, 1982. After finishing school in Izmail, he mastered the profession of a carpenter at one of the vocational schools. However, almost his entire pre-war life was associated with the construction industry because he had a knack for it.
Relatives of the Ukrainian defender remember him as a person filled with positivity, kindness, sincerity, courage, and the spirit of camaraderie. At any time of day or night, he was ready to come to the aid of anyone who needed it. Thanks to his specialization and openness, he had many friends who simply adored him.
He could also play the guitar and loved to sing.
Hryhoriy Mikhov was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of February this year.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
The farewell to the Hero will take place at 10:00 on Unity Street, 12-A. Hryhoriy Mikhov will be buried in the Alley of Glory, located in the new cemetery.
