A baby was hospitalized in Odesa region as a result of an accident

On May 4th, at around 9:30 AM, in the village of Vypasne, Molohivska territorial community of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, Odessa region, on Kyshynivska Street, a road accident occurred, where a baby and two passengers were injured. This information was reported by the Main Department of the National Police in the Odessa region.

Preliminary investigations by law enforcement officers revealed that a 65-year-old resident of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi lost control of his "VAZ 2102" when making a left turn and veered into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a "VAZ 2112" driven by a 30-year-old resident of Udobne village, Odessa district.

As a result of the road accident, a six-month-old son of the "VAZ 2112" driver and two acquaintances of the other driver, a 54-year-old woman, and a 69-year-old man, were taken to the hospital.

Additionally, expert examinations confirmed that both drivers were not under the influence of alcohol. Currently, the question of registering information about the incident in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, regarding the violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles by persons driving vehicles that caused serious bodily harm to victims, is being addressed.
