The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has announced suspicion against a resident of Odessa for supporting the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. According to the SSU press service, SSU investigators have served the resident of Odessa with a suspicion notice for justifying, acknowledging as lawful, denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and glorifying its participants.
Following the start of full-scale invasion, the woman actively called for support of the occupiers on social media and justified their war crimes. With pro-Russian sentiments, she shared publications aimed at discrediting state authorities and the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the investigation, the offender is a local resident. She sourced the destructive content from Russian-speaking groups and pro-propaganda internet resources.
During the searches conducted at her place of residence, law enforcement officers seized mobile phones and computers with evidence of illegal activities. The individual has been informed of the suspicion under Article 436-2, Part 2, of the Ukrainian Criminal Code, which pertains to justifying, acknowledging as lawful, denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and glorifying its participants. She could face up to five years of restriction of liberty or imprisonment.
