In Cherkasy, five people, including two children, were injured in an accident

In Cherkasy, near one of the shopping and entertainment centers on Shevchenko Boulevard, a road accident occurred. Two cars collided, resulting in one of them being thrown onto the sidewalk, according to eyewitnesses, as reported by Cherkasy Public Television.

It is also reported that children were injured as a result of this accident. Adults also suffered physical injuries, as stated by Anastasiya Stolbova, a spokesperson for the Cherkasy Regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine.

According to a representative of the Patrol Police of the Cherkasy Region, Oleksiy Dragun, the accident occurred at the intersection of Shevchenko and Illienka streets.

Anastasiya Stolbova, the spokesperson for the emergency services, mentioned that three emergency teams were working at the scene. Preliminary information indicates five injured individuals, including children:

A one-year-old child with a diagnosed closed head injury and a concussion. The child was hospitalized.
A 12-year-old child with a closed abdominal injury. The child was taken to the regional children's hospital.
A 21-year-old woman with a diagnosed closed shin fracture. She was taken to the Third City Hospital.
A 42-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man refused hospitalization.

As of 4:00 PM, medical personnel and the police are still working at the scene.
