On May 11th, near the Poltava Holy Assumption Cathedral, they bid farewell to two fallen soldiers - Dmytro Yudenko and Valeriy Sosnovsky.
On May 6th, near Bahmut, a soldier and junior sergeant Dmytro Yudenko was killed. He was a civic activist, the head of the civic association "Voroskol," and a veteran of the Azov Regiment. Dmytro joined the war in 2014 after his younger brother Yevhen was killed. He enlisted in the volunteer battalion "Azov." After two and a half years of participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), he returned to civilian life. After the full-scale Russian invasion, he rejoined the military, initially enlisting in the territorial defense forces and later in the newly formed Third Separate Assault Brigade. Dmytro became a co-founder and instructor of the civic organization "Unity and Brotherhood," which organizes military training for volunteers and territorial defense.
Before the full-scale invasion, Dmytro was the head of the civic association "Voroskol," where he was involved in military-patriotic education for young people, conducting numerous training sessions, courses, and other military training activities.
On the same day, May 6th, near the village of Hеorhiyivka in the Donetsk region, soldier Valeriy Sosnovsky was killed. Valeriy was 38 years old and served as a driver in a rifle unit.
