In Vinnytsia, 11 children and a teacher of an educational institution were poisoned

Law enforcement authorities have opened a criminal case in connection with the poisoning of children and a teacher in one of the educational institutions in the Mohyliv-Podilskyi district. The incident occurred on May 10 when a teacher from the Sugakivskyi Lyceum, showing signs of poisoning, sought medical help. Later, another 11 children from the same institution were brought to the hospital with similar symptoms. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Vinnytsia region.

"All of them are from the same institution, from the same lyceum. An epidemiological investigation is currently underway, samples have been taken, and samples of the food products they consumed are being subjected to laboratory tests," said Volodymyr Khytruk, the head of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Department in Vinnytsia region.

At the moment, all the victims are undergoing outpatient treatment. An epidemiological investigation is being conducted, samples and the food products consumed by the victims are undergoing laboratory testing.

Law enforcement authorities have opened a criminal case under Article 325, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of sanitary rules and norms to prevent infectious diseases and mass poisoning) in connection with this incident. Specialized services are involved in the investigation, and expert examinations are being conducted to determine the causes of the poisoning. The investigation aims to establish all the circumstances and reasons behind this event.
