Russian army shells Nikopol at night

During the night of May 11, the occupying forces of the Russian Federation shelled the city of Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with heavy artillery. The mayor of Nikopol, Oleksandr Sayuk, reported this on his Facebook page. According to the mayor, the shelling damaged three private houses, four outbuildings, and a car. Power lines were also damaged, and experts are working on their restoration.

Additionally, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, announced that Ukrainian defenders successfully engaged Russian drones flying over the region, managing to shoot down one of them.

Furthermore, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on its Facebook page that during the past day, the enemy launched one missile strike from the S-300 surface-to-air missile system on civilian infrastructure in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Oblast. Additionally, the enemy conducted 45 aviation strikes and 53 shelling attacks with multiple rocket launch systems on the positions of Ukrainian forces and populated areas in Kherson Oblast. Civilians have been affected, and private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed. The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions, with 39 enemy attacks repelled. The fiercest battles are taking place near the cities of Bakhmut and Marinka.
