In Odessa, one of the military hospital commanders was detained for offering to help a serviceman obtain disability status in exchange for a bribe of $5,000 USD. This information was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region.

According to the police, the military personnel, who had health problems, planned to undergo a military medical examination to obtain disability status. However, he received advice from an acquaintance suggesting that one of the commanders of the local military hospital could assist him in obtaining this status for $5,000 USD.

The serviceman reported this to law enforcement authorities, and on May 11, during the transfer of money through an intermediary to the commander, the officer was arrested.

The police have stated that the detainee will be charged under Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which carries a penalty of three to eight years of imprisonment with property confiscation.

Please note that if Russia continues to hinder the "grain corridor" in Ukraine, some factories may come to a halt. According to the General Director of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, Pavel Koval, Russia's actions could lead to the suspension of operations at two to three sunflower processing plants in Ukraine. Russia is attempting to obstruct the movement of vessels, particularly those transporting more valuable goods like sunflower oil. If tankers carrying sunflower oil are not allowed through the "corridor," it could result in the cessation of operations at these factories.
