In the village of Podilsky, located in the Odessa district of the Odessa region, the police conducted a rescue operation for a four-year-old boy who had gone missing and was stuck in a swamp. This was reported on May 20 by the press service of the Main Department of the National Police in the Poltava region.
The child's relatives noticed his disappearance at 11 a.m. After an hour of unsuccessful searching, the grandmother contacted law enforcement, concerned because her grandson had health issues and had limited verbal skills.
After about five hours of searching for the child, law enforcement officers, military personnel, local residents, as well as highly trained canine rescue teams, were involved. All efforts were focused on finding the four-year-old boy.
Fortunately, the child was found about a kilometer from his home, stuck in a deep swamp and unable to call for help. He was discovered by police constable Oleksandr Bondarenko, who returned him to his family.
