Unknown persons plant explosives under a car in Odesa region

In the city of Reni in the Odessa region, in the morning of May 19, an explosive device detonated under a car. The owner of the vehicle discovered a grenade under the car wheel, as reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region. The explosion occurred on 28th of June Street.

According to the police, the explosive device detonated under the car of a local 36-year-old entrepreneur when he started the vehicle. The man was not injured. He found a grenade under the rear right wheel. Explosive experts collected fragments of the detonated device. Both the device and the grenade will be sent for examination.

The police are looking for witnesses to the incident.

It's worth noting that the Security Service of Ukraine has accused an Odessa resident of supporting the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. After the start of full-scale invasion, the woman actively called for support of the occupiers on social media and justified their war crimes. With pro-Russian sentiments, she shared publications aimed at discrediting state authorities and the Ukrainian Armed Forces. During searches conducted at her places of residence, law enforcement officers seized mobile phones and computers with evidence of illegal activities. The suspect has been informed of the charges.
