In Odesa, a man ran over a dog with a car and fled the scene

In Odessa, law enforcement officers have located the driver who fatally struck a homeless dog and fled the scene. This information was reported on May 20 by the press service of the Main Department of the National Police in the Odessa Oblast.

Police officers spotted a video on the internet showing a driver of a "Kia" vehicle running over a dog in the yard of a residential complex on Artileryiska Street and then driving away. The man was later located and explained that he did not notice the animal while driving.

Law enforcement has initiated a criminal investigation under Article 299, Part 1 (cruelty to animals) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and is working to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
