In Odessa, a man who provided intelligence information to the Russian Federation's special services about the location of Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the Odessa region was sentenced to 15 years in prison. This was reported by the press service of the Primorsky District Court in Odessa on May 20.
According to their information, from April 27 to May 25, 2022, the man collected and passed reconnaissance information to a representative of the Russian Federation regarding the deployment of Ukrainian Armed Forces units and other military assets in Odessa and the Odessa region.
During the trial, the man admitted to the crime, but he refused to express remorse, explaining that he had "ideological preferences."
For the charges of state treason, possession, and acquisition of firearms, the court sentenced him to 15 years in prison with the confiscation of his property.
It's worth noting that the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) exposed three pro-Russian propagandists in the Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In Poltava, based on SSU materials, two pro-Russian propagandists face up to eight years in prison. One of them was an employee of a local critical infrastructure enterprise who glorified the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. The other individual promoted the idea of erecting monuments to Kadyrov in Ukrainian cities. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a former local businessman who romanticized the Wagner PMC fighters and justified their participation in the storming of Ukrainian cities in eastern Ukraine was exposed.
