Families with children can apply for government assistance through the Diya portal: four new social services are now available

Families with children can now apply for government assistance through the Diya portal. Four new social services are available, making it easier for certain categories of families with children to receive financial aid from the state. The services are accessible to people who have adopted a child, caregivers of non-disabled children, individuals with disabilities from childhood, and children with disabilities, as well as single mothers or parents not in a marital relationship.

This digitalization of the social sphere simplifies the lives of Ukrainians by providing easy access to social services, and it eliminates the need to collect and submit numerous documents in person, reducing the possibility of errors in applications.

The four new services available through the Diya portal are:

Assistance to individuals caring for non-disabled children.
Assistance to individuals with disabilities from childhood and children with disabilities, provided for the entire duration of disability.
Assistance to parents who have adopted orphaned children or children deprived of parental care.
Assistance to children of single mothers or parents not in a marital relationship.
To apply for these services, parents can follow these steps:

Authenticate on the Diya portal.
Go to the "Services" menu and choose "Application for Social Assistance."
Fill out the required information in the application and declaration.
Verify and sign the application electronically.
Once submitted, the application will be sent to the social welfare authority, and the applicant will receive notifications about the application's status through their personal Diya portal account or email.

This initiative is part of Ukraine's efforts to make social services more accessible and user-friendly, benefiting those who require government support. It's a step toward simplifying the process of receiving social assistance and increasing digitalization in the social sphere.

These services were developed in cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine.
