In Kropyvnytskyi, they bid farewell to Special Forces Warrior Mykola Zhydkov. This was reported by the Kropyvnytskyi City Council.
He fought for his team on the football field until the last minute. He remained true to his principles, even when the Russian occupiers advanced onto his homeland.
Mykola Zhydkov, a 21-year-old Kropyvnytskyi resident, swapped his sports uniform for a military uniform and sacrificed himself to ensure that his current large, fearless, motivated team – the Armed Forces of Ukraine – achieved Victory.
Mykola had been passionate about sports since childhood, and later football determined his fate. Before the start of the full-scale invasion, he played for the Polish club "Wengrzanka," but he returned to Ukraine and took up arms.
Senior soldier-special forces, flamethrower Mykola Zhydkov, died on June 1 in the area of the village of Novodonetske in the Donetsk region.
Today, on June 6, family, friends, clubmates, and fellow combatants bid farewell to the young Warrior on the Alley of Honorary Military Burials of the Far Eastern Cemetery.
The memorial service was held by the priest of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Father Petro.
"Our Defender is now standing before the Almighty, he has become the Guardian Angel who will protect his comrades from enemy bullets. We bow to the family that raised such a son and offer our deepest condolences to them," he said during the mourning ceremony.
