Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast regarding the provision of water to the region

In Kryvyi Rih, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. The head of state conducted it during his working trip to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. During the meeting, they discussed issues related to water supply in the region, including the implementation of projects for main water pipelines that are intended to replace those previously supplied from the Kakhovka Reservoir. During the meeting, Serhiy Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, mentioned that due to the dam's explosion at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant by Russian occupiers, the problems with providing drinking water were felt by the residents of Nikopol, Pokrov, Marganets, and Kryvyi Rih. The water supply in Marganets and Pokrov was disrupted. In these cities, water is currently being transported by road and rail. Alexander Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Minister for the Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure, reported during the meeting that there are projects for the construction of water pipelines connecting the Karachunivka Reservoir to Kryvyi Rih, the South Reservoir to Marganets and Nikopol, and Khortytsia to Tomakivka. After the implementation of these projects, the people in the affected regions will have a stable water supply. They also plan to reconstruct the existing water pipelines and expand the network of wells in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

After hearing the reports, Volodymyr Zelensky instructed to mobilize additional equipment that can be used to deliver water to the settlements in need. Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the military in Odesa Oblast.
