Law enforcement officers have detained a policeman who robbed a local gas station, and the suspect has been handed over to the State Bureau of Investigations. The Odessa regional police reported that during the night of June 9 to 10, an unknown masked man entered a gas station in the Odessa region. He sprayed tear gas towards the station attendant, stole her mobile phone, and fled the scene. In less than two hours, the police identified and apprehended the perpetrator, who turned out to be a policeman and a driver in one of the National Police units.
The perpetrator's actions have been classified as a crime under Article 186 Part 4 (Robbery during wartime) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He could face a prison sentence ranging from seven to ten years. The suspect is currently in temporary detention awaiting the formal charges and the determination of a preventive measure.
