An accident between two cars occurs in Vinnytsia region: two cars flattened, three people hospitalised

On the 9th of June, at around 7 PM, in the city of Hnivan, Vinnytsia district, a road accident occurred involving two vehicles, a "VAZ" and a "Volkswagen." Two drivers and a passenger were taken to the hospital with injuries. This information was reported by the Main Department of the National Police in Vinnytsia region. According to preliminary information, a 39-year-old resident of the town of Sutysky, Vinnytsia district, was driving the "VAZ" car. When making a left turn, the "VAZ" driver failed to yield the right of way to a 29-year-old "Volkswagen" driver who was moving in the opposite direction.

As a result of the road accident, both drivers and a 33-year-old passenger of the "Volkswagen" were taken to the hospital with various injuries.

Blood samples were taken from the drivers for analysis for alcohol or narcotic intoxication. Their vehicles were impounded. Law enforcement has initiated a criminal investigation under Article 286, Part 1 (violation of traffic safety or operation of vehicles by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. If someone involved in the road accident is found guilty, they may face up to three years of imprisonment with a driving ban for up to three years.
