In the village of Birkiv in the Oleksandrivska community of Kirovohrad Oblast, a memorial plaque was unveiled in honor of the military serviceman Andriy Zinov'yev. This was reported by the public broadcaster, referring to the headman (village leader) of Birkiv, Mykhailo Serhiienko.
The memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the Birkiv branch of Oleksandrivska Lyceum No. 2. The initiative to install the plaque came from Andriy's family. "After the tragedy, Andriy's mother approached me and requested this. I negotiated with the school director. We voted on it at the executive committee. The family ordered and paid for the installation of this plaque themselves," said the headman.
The plaque was unveiled by Andriy's mother and his two younger brothers.

The village headman also mentioned, "I knew Andriy as an athlete. He had many awards. His mother showed me all of them. He was very persistent, and thanks to this, he entered the military school. He dreamed of military service."
