The Odessa Naval Infantry, as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive operations, liberated the village of Storozhove in the Donetsk region. This was reported by the 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrorog.
The village of Storozhove, located in Donetsk, had been under the occupation of Russian forces since March 2022.
As a result of clearing the village, the Odessa Naval Infantry eliminated approximately fifty Russian occupiers, and they captured four Russians as prisoners of war.
Currently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting counteroffensive operations on most fronts. In the past few days, Ukrainian forces successfully liberated Neskuchne in Donetsk, where Russian forces had looted and destroyed the memorial museum-estate of Volodymyr Ivanovych Nemirovich-Danchenko, as reported by the volunteer unit "Arey."
Ukrainian troops have also reclaimed the village of Makarivka and the town of Blahodatne in the Donetsk region. Furthermore, Ukrainian soldiers are making significant progress on the Bahmut direction and are successfully conducting assault operations in the vicinity of the Berkhivske Reservoir, with a reported advance of 250 meters, as announced by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Maliar.
