On June 11th, in the city of Lubny, Poltava region, a man committed a robbery on Yarmarkova Square. This incident was reported by the Main Department of the National Police in Poltava region.
Thanks to the operational measures of law enforcement agencies, the identity of the perpetrator who robbed the victim was established. It was revealed that the suspect is a local resident born in 1974.
Investigators seized material evidence from the suspect and sent it for expert examination. The suspect has been detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Law enforcement agencies are currently conducting a criminal investigation under Part 4 of Article 186 (Robbery committed during a state of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
If found guilty by the court, the man could face up to ten years of imprisonment.
In a related incident in the Odessa region, two men broke into a 74-year-old woman's house and robbed her. One of the robbers had previously been convicted for committing property crimes. Both men face imprisonment ranging from eight to fifteen years, with property confiscation, if found guilty.
