The charitable campaign 'Brave for the People of Smila' took place today, May 13th, in Smila. This event has been held in the city for the third time.
All the funds raised this time will be directed to the 118th Territorial Defense Brigade to provide necessary support for their victorious battles.
Representatives from cultural institutions, educational institutions, businesses, religious organizations, folk artists, and others set up their exhibitions right on the streets.
At the event, handcrafted items such as bracelets, earrings, dolls, soap, soft toys, embroidered and painted paintings, savory and sweet treats, clay products, decorative pillows, home decorations, face painting, and much more were on display.
"There are no small deeds on the path to victory," said Igor Taburets, the head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration. "All are important, especially on the front lines supporting our defenders."
The regional leader also participated in the charity event. He purchased a painted tube from an anti-tank missile at a street auction. This artifact will be handed over to the museum.
"I thank the entire Smila community for their activity and compassion," emphasized Igor Taburets. "Together, we are doing something important!"
Volunteers managed to collect over 250,000 hryvnias, which will be directed to support the 42nd separate 'Cherkasy Shooters' battalion and the 118th territorial defense brigade.
