Vinnytsia resident pretended to be a volunteer and took money from military

In Vinnytsia, a man has been charged with pretending to be a volunteer and deceiving both military personnel and civilians by claiming to collect funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He posted on his social media pages, presenting himself as a volunteer who was collecting money for the military's needs, including ammunition, equipment, and technology. This led to individuals believing him to be a genuine volunteer and placing orders for military supplies. However, after receiving the funds, the suspect failed to deliver the promised items and ceased further communication with the buyers.

The pseudo-volunteer has caused losses to both the military and concerned citizens totaling over 77,000 hryvnias. If convicted, he could face a prison sentence ranging from three to eight years.
