On the eve of International Family Day, a family celebration took place in Amur Park in Dnipro. This was reported by the press service of the Dnipro City Council.
Parents, together with their children, played "fun football" after dividing into teams. They also enjoyed performances by dance groups and participated in tournaments of fencing and karate. The youngest guests of the event had their faces painted with aqua makeup and took part in a festive flash mob.
"All of us share one dream - for our children to live in a free country and be happy. We want there to be more joyful events in every family's life, and we hope this holiday brings them unforgettable emotions," said Natalia Lavnyuzhenkova, the director of the Municipal Institution "Center for Artistic and Aesthetic Creativity of Youth" of the Dnipro City Council.
In addition to Dnipro residents, about 40 families who moved to the city after Russia's full-scale invasion also attended the event. Ms. Olena came to the event with her 8-year-old son Roman. Her family had to evacuate from Popasna. She expressed her gratitude to the city authorities for the opportunity to spend quality time with her child.
"The event was very enjoyable. Our family participated as a team in fencing and painting. Overall, it was interesting, cool, and we would gladly join other similar events," said Olena Panishko.
The family celebration in Amur Park concluded with the distribution of gifts and a family picnic with ice cream.
