In Dnipro, an embroidery run titled "Victory Pattern" took place in the Tunnel Balts, dedicated to Vyshyvanka Day.
Approximately 200 residents of Dnipro participated in the competition, including men, women, and children, with varying race distances: 10 and 4 kilometers for men, 8 and 2 kilometers for women, and 200 and 400 meters for children. This information was shared by the Dnipro City Council.
"We have different distances for participants, with 10 and 4 kilometers for men, 8 and 2 kilometers for women, and 200 and 400 meters for children. All participants receive cool prizes, and the winners of the races also receive artillery shells adorned with Petrykivka painting. We thank the art school for this," said Alexander Osipov, the head of the Department of Sports in the Department of Humanitarian Policy of the Dnipro City Council.
Irina participated in the race for the first time, choosing the 2-kilometer distance. She mentioned that she decided to participate because she liked the event being dedicated to Vyshyvanka Day: "I have been training for myself, running 5 kilometers, so I think I can handle 2 kilometers. I don't aim to win; I just want to have fun."
All participants received pleasant gifts, and the winners of the races also received artillery shells decorated with Petrykivka painting.
Furthermore, event participants had the opportunity to learn first aid skills and how to use a turnstile.
