At night over the Poltava region they beat down the guards of the enemy

During the night of May 21-22, the Poltava region experienced a period of unrest, including prolonged air raid alarms, as the enemy launched missiles and drones over the region.

According to Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, the enemy's aerial targets were successfully intercepted and shot down by the air defense forces.

The sounds that could be heard at night were the results of the work of the air defense forces. Over the Poltava region, two rockets and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) were downed. As of the morning, there were no reports of significant damage. Dmytro Lunin expressed his appreciation for the outstanding work of Ukraine's defenders in a video message, stating, "Great job by our defenders! Thank you to the Defense Forces! Glory to Ukraine!"

The General Staff reported that Russian occupiers conducted a massive missile and aviation attack on that day.

During the previous day, the enemy carried out six missile strikes, 52 aviation attacks, and launched 65 artillery shelling attacks with multiple rocket launch systems. As a result, private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

In their attacks on Ukrainian cities Liman, Sloviansk, and Kostiantynivka, the enemy once again used the S-300 surface-to-air missile systems, which are not highly accurate weapons. This emphasizes Russia's use of a terroristic strategy in their actions.

The likelihood of further missile and aviation strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains very high.
