Vinnytsia has a representative office of the European Association of Local Democracy

Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia Halyna Yakubovych, along with the General Secretary of ALDA, Antonella Valmorbida, have officially submitted an application for the Vinnytsia City Council, specifically its Executive Committee, to join the organization. This was reported by the city council.

ALDA has over 350 members and serves as a key link between the city council and civil society. It also assists the city and civil organizations in implementing various socially important programs with the involvement of international partners and donors.

During the official signing, Halyna Yakubovych noted that one of the responsibilities of the Vinnytsia City Council's Executive Committee is to cooperate with the public, including civil organizations and active Vinnytsia residents. This allows for joint decisions aimed at the development of the Vinnytsia community.

Representatives of the city council expressed their gratitude to ALDA experts for their interest in working with the Vinnytsia community. The Office, which is planned to be opened in the near future, will make cooperation even more fruitful and provide more opportunities to attract international and foreign donors to implement socially important projects.

ALDA unites more than 350 members from over 40 countries worldwide, operating in most European Union countries and neighboring European countries.

The application of the Vinnytsia City Council to join the Association will be considered in June at the meeting of the Governing Board of the European Association of Local Democracy.
