The issue of protecting and rationally using land resources, particularly agricultural land, becomes especially critical in conditions of a state of war.
This is stated in the announcement by the Department of Agricultural Development in the Cherkasy region.
"To implement the legislation of Ukraine in the field, soil monitoring and agrochemical land passportization are carried out," the announcement says.
It is noted that this year, the work is being conducted in the Zvenyhorod and Uman districts.
As of June 1, 2023, the Cherkasy branch of the State Service for Soil Protection has surveyed 8,730 hectares of agricultural land. The work on conducting agrochemical passportization continues.
"Agricultural enterprises that do not carry out agrochemical passportization of land within the specified deadlines violate Ukrainian legislation on land protection and soil fertility preservation," the department emphasized.
According to the legislation, agrochemical passportization of arable land is conducted every 5 years, while grasslands, pastures, and perennial plantings are conducted every 5-10 years.
