On June 25th, around 12:05 PM, a road accident occurred on the highway between the villages of Ksaverove and Orlovets in Cherkasy region, resulting in the death of the car driver. This information was reported by the Cherkasy regional police.
Law enforcement officers determined that a ZAZ 110307 car driven by a 49-year-old man was traveling on the N-01 highway. At some point, the driver lost control of the vehicle, and it veered off the road and overturned. As a result of the accident, the driver of the car died at the scene, while a 21-year-old passenger sustained multiple injuries. The passenger was hospitalized in critical condition at the Horodyshche Hospital.
A criminal investigation under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which relates to the violation of road traffic safety or vehicle operation rules by persons operating motor vehicles, has been opened by the police regarding the accident.
Previously, a tragic accident involving a tractor resulted in the death of a 14-year-old girl in Odesa region.
A 38-year-old man who was driving the tractor in the village of Berezivka failed to notice the pedestrian girl and accidentally hit her with the tractor's bucket. The girl succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The tractor driver explained that he simply did not see the child.
Additionally, another accident occurred in Odesa region, where one man died and several others were injured.
The accident took place on June 19th in Berezyn. A Volkswagen Passat car was attempting to overtake horse-drawn transport and collided with it. As a result of the accident, a 58-year-old man who was a passenger in the car died, and the 43-year-old driver of the horse-drawn transport was hospitalized in serious condition. The driver and passenger of the car sustained minor injuries.
