Three people died: the police of Vinnytsia started criminal proceedings as a result of the fires

Tragedies occurred on May 7th in the villages of Zhadany and Borisivka in the Illinetska urban community. Private houses were on fire, resulting in the deaths of three people.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances and causes of these events, as reported on the Vinnytsia Oblast Police website.

At around 06:45, the police received a report of a fire in a house on Brativ Kyslyukiv Street in the village of Zhadany. At the time of the fire, the homeowners, a 46-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, were inside. As a result of the fire, the couple tragically lost their lives. Their lifeless bodies were found by rescuers in a smoke-filled room after the fire was extinguished. The police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident.

On the same day, around 08:55, Vinnytsia District Police Department No. 5 received another report of a fire. In the village of Borisivka, on Gagarina Street, a private house was on fire. The fire resulted in the death of the 66-year-old homeowner.

Preliminary findings suggest that the tragedies occurred due to careless handling of fire. The final causes will be determined after appropriate examinations.

All circumstances are being clarified within the framework of open criminal proceedings under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with the note 'accidental accident.
