Athletes from The Dnipropetrovsk region won 130 medals at the All-Ukrainian and international tournaments

During the previous week, athletes from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast competed in eight national championships and cups, as well as participated in two international tournaments. In these competitions, athletes from Dnipropetrovsk won over 130 medals, including more than 50 gold medals, nearly 50 silver medals, and over 30 bronze medals. This information was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

Alexander Pshenychnikov, the Director of the Department of Youth and Sports, highlighted that athletes from the region consistently perform well both at the national and international levels, often reaching the podium.

For instance, at the European Games held in Poland, Yaroslava Mahuchikh, representing Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, won the gold medal in the high jump. She cleared a height of 1.97 meters.

Mikhailo Kokhan earned a silver medal in the hammer throw. Stanislav Kovalenko and Oleksandr Sokolov, as part of the Ukrainian men's relay team, emerged as winners in the 4x100 meters relay.

At the International Regatta AMBER OARS, representatives from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast secured six silver medals in rowing.

The performances of Dnipropetrovsk athletes on the domestic arena were also successful. At the Ukrainian Championship in water skiing held in Dnipro, athletes from the region earned 52 medals in various disciplines, including jumping, slalom, and figure skating.
