A culinary hub has been launched in the Odessa region to train school chefs

Three regions in Ukraine are establishing chef training centers that will operate within educational institutions. On June 26, a culinary hub was opened in the Odessa Professional and Technical Education Center.

Known as "agents of change," the professionals in this culinary hub will utilize modern and technological equipment to educate school chefs from across the Odessa region. The preservation of children's health is a priority for the Ukrainian government, hence the establishment of these chef training centers.

Roman Hryhorishyn, Deputy Head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, stated that the modernization and renovation of food blocks in schools and other educational institutions are underway in the region. Additionally, the retraining of chefs and the preparation of new professional personnel will take place. According to Roman Hryhorishyn, the goal is for school meals to reach a qualitatively new level, ensuring they are not only tasty and visually appealing but also nutritious.

Despite the ongoing war, the reform of the school food system under the auspices of Olena Zelenska has achieved significant success. This is just the beginning, expressing the confidence of Roman Hryhorishyn.
