A report about an unknown man in P'yatykhatky planning to jump from a mobile tower and commit suicide was received by the police on June 25 at 19:00. Thanks to the skilled actions of a police psychologist who arrived at the scene, the tragedy was averted. This was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk region police.
The Dnipropetrovsk police shared details of this complex response. When the law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, they saw a man on the metal structure who informed them of his intention to jump. Psychologist Zhanna Anisovets, a member of the personnel support sector, immediately started talking to the man, trying to persuade him to change his mind. Initially, he refused to engage with the police. After nearly two hours, the psychologist managed to establish contact with him and convinced him to come down. The man is now safe, and his life is not in danger.
The Dnipropetrovsk region police are proud of their colleague who was able to save a person's life in a difficult situation.
Previously, we reported that two residents of Odessa who were injured in missile attacks by Russian occupiers were to receive medical treatment in Austria. The 20-year-old and 32-year-old Odessa residents were transported to Austria, where they would continue to receive treatment for severe injuries sustained during a Russian shelling on June 14. Both men are currently in critical condition, although there has been no negative progression in their health.
