Woman strangles her friend with a rope in Vinnytsia region and hides his body in a cellar

On May 27, 2023, in the territory of the Haisyn territorial community in Vinnytsia region, a crime occurred. During a domestic dispute, a 37-year-old woman struck her 54-year-old acquaintance, leading to the man's death. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Poltava region.

The report to law enforcement came from a resident of the Haisyn territorial community. Police officers conducted investigative and search actions at the crime scene and determined the circumstances of the murder. Additionally, law enforcement detained the woman involved in the killing of the 54-year-old man.

Preliminarily, it was established that the conflict arose during a drinking session. Both individuals were intoxicated. The argument escalated into a fight, during which the man, losing his balance, fell to the floor. Taking advantage of the man's condition, the woman began to strangle him. When the victim lost consciousness, the suspect struck him several times with a blunt object on the head.

To conceal her crime, the woman hid the body of the deceased acquaintance in a cellar. She cleaned up the bloodstains and concealed the rope used to strangle the man.

The woman has been detained on suspicion of intentional homicide and placed in temporary detention. She could face up to 15 years of imprisonment for the murder.
