The World Championship in Classic Powerlifting concluded on June 18 in St. Julian's, Malta. Anatoliy Novopysmennyi from Poltava participated in the competition as part of the Ukrainian team and emerged victorious in the weight category up to 105 kg.

Anatoliy squatted with a weight of 362.5 kg, setting a world record, as reported by Poltavshchyna Sport.

In the bench press, Anatoliy lifted 225 kg, and even his first attempt was better than the final result of his competitor.

In the deadlift, Anatoliy Novopysmennyi lifted a weight of 352 kg. He ranked fourth in this exercise, but with his impressive performance in squats and bench press, he achieved a total of 940 kg, setting another world record.
