Cherkasy handed badges to schoolchildren from the defense of Ukraine

In Cherkasy region, students who excelled in the subject "Defense of Ukraine" and completed military training were honored. This year, 62 students from Cherkasy region were recognized as top performers in the subject "Defense of Ukraine." This information was provided by the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.

The awards were presented to the students by the head of the region, Igor Taburets, along with the Chief Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, war veteran Alexander Kutny.

"These young men and women are the new generation of Ukrainians," emphasized the head of the region. "These are the children who understand the value of our freedom and independence, who witness examples of real heroism and dignity. I thank each of them for their diligence in learning and patriotism."

It's worth noting that the tradition of awarding this distinction in Cherkasy region was initiated back in 2015, and since then, over 700 students have received these motivational awards. Typically, this distinction is awarded to students in the 10th and 11th grades of general education institutions and students in the 1st and 2nd courses of vocational and technical education institutions who have achieved the best results in the study of the subject "Defense of Ukraine" based on semester and annual assessments and the fulfillment of program standards scoring 12 points.
